Test Automation Engineer (non-Dutch only) – Utrecht Region, the Netherlands

Are you an expert in Test Automation Engineering? We offer an interesting opportunity, which allows you to relocate to the Netherlands, for a full time contract and a compelling salary. You will have around 40 Dutch colleagues, all experts in test automation. The company is setting up a new non-Dutch unit for test automation engineers. You will work primarily at clients, which are leading firms of the Netherlands.

What are you going to do?

As a Test Automation Engineer, you have the ability to gather information, filter it and pinpoint where the most impact can be made in regards to automation efforts. Using your excellent communication skills, you take people by the hand and motivate them to join the road to High Quality software. You think QA is more than executing tests; it’s a mindset. You enjoy finding specific flows that no one thought of and enjoy even more automating tests to ensure the quality can be measured quickly!

Tasks include:

  • Testing, developing and maintaining test automation scripts; you work closely with the developers.
  • Using your knowledge to consult clients on test automation solutions. 
  • Setting up test procedures. 
  • Advising about the optimal test processes.
  • Sharing your knowledge with colleagues during meetups.

What is expected from you?

As a successful employee, you have excellent programming and communicating skills. You easily adapt to new working environments, as well as using new tools and techniques. You take a structured approach to work and are capable of building a new project from scratch. 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent command of English language, both written and verbal
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, Java, and/or C#
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools (Selenium, Appium, CypressIO, TestCafe, etc.)
  • Experience with version control, preferably GIT
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge with JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of data transport structures such as JSON, XML, YAML
